Stevie Nicks Says Drunk Ladies Are Bad - Sorry We'll Be Bombed at her Concert!

This magickal double unicorn drawing of Stevie Nicks was a "special" birthday gift from Stefania a few years ago. Obvs I treasure it.

Is it a mystikal portent of birthday gifts to come? As you know, all gypsy women turning 40 hope for concert tickets. Or a purple velvet beret.

There's a new interview with Stevie Nicks -- Rock Faerie Goddess and Palo Alto native like Stefania -- in WWD.

She talks Botox (thumbs down), wearing see-thru skirts (ok when you're young, just bad you're older) and shared her ipod playlist, which is eerily identical to mine:

  • “Single Ladies” by Beyonce
  • “Umbrella,” by Rihanna
  • “Come to me, Peace” by Mary J. Blige
  • “Afraid,” by Nelly Furtado
  • “Touch my Body” from Mariah Carey

She also said that she never wants to be the chick who you think is 25 and she turns around and looks 90 -- hello, Donatella!

My favorite quote, which won't stop me for a minute, but will stay with me forever:

"My mom always said to me “Everybody forgets drunk men, but no one forgets a drunk woman.”

Well. Everyone wants to be unforgettable. Some of us just practice more.

Stevie's on tour right now with Fleetwood Mac -- and what do you know, they're in the Bay Area during my birthday week:

  • Wednesday, May 20th,  Oakland, CA, Oracle Arena
  • Thursday, May 21st, San Jose, CA, HP Pavilion

Smells like another CityMama/Bad Kitty concert excursion is cooking up! This could be better than both Manilow concerts! Or when we took the white karaoke limo to Ricky Martin (not Duran Duran, that was a different time) with Tata.

It could even get crazier than the time Stefania almost got us kicked out of American Idols on tour. For drunk heckling.

Hey, you can be damn sure Taylor Hicks "remembered" her.

Things to Do When We're 40 (The Not Bucket List)

  • A barbecue tour of the South
    We'll start in the Carolinas and end in Texas and sample the best barbecue America has to offer. Why? Because we like meat.
  • Hotel Living
    We like: mini bars, movies, and lounging around in our pajamas with our laptops right where they are supposed to be. We'll bring running shoes to pretend like we're going to work out, but really, who are we kidding. You see where this is going?
  • Knock some sense into dumb people
    We'd love to be the camp counselors on a show like the Real World or Rock of Love.
  • Eating Dinner in a Vineyard While the Sun Sets
    You know those scenes of a dining table set in a Tuscan or Sonoma vineyard dressed with beautiful linens and people sitting around it drinking wine and eating and laughing while the sun goes down? We want to be those people.
  • Yoga Retreat in New Mexico
    Some of our fondest memories are of spending time doing yoga together. Do other wannabe yoginis spend the entire class laughing together? We do.
