This woman is a fighter
Elizabeth Edwards' cancer has returned.
Mrs. Edwards: My most positive thoughts are with you. You are a strong woman and I hope you will live a long life.

I'm thinking good thoughts for her.

I almost started weeping when I heard this. She seems amazing and I send her every healing wish I can muster.

I heard on NPR this morning that the cancer is now attached to her ribs and considered "uncurable" but "treatable". =( She definitely is an inspiration. Sending all my positive thoughts her way.

This is so sad. I, too, am trying to think positive thoughts for the Edwards family.

She is truly inspirational and when I read her autobiography, it really moved me, especially her memories of her son, Wade-that part had me in tears.
I was so sad when I read in the NYTimes yesterday about their announcement, but the fact that they are still going on with their Presidential bid, is a testament to their faith, commitment, sense of duty, and their philosophy of never giving up, even when they are faced with huge obstacles and heartache. They are true heroes, in every sense of the word.
Oh my God, when I think of the fact that Bush/Cheney are in office while Edwards isn't, it just makes me so angry to realize how truly unfair life can be.

She is going to make a wonderful and thoughtful first Lady.

She seems wonderful. What devastating news, but it's great to see their optimism. I am so glad the announcement yesterday was not that the campaign was over--quite the contrary. Whew.
Nearly every day I drive by the Wade Edwards Learning Lab, the high school tutoring center dedicated to the memory of Wade. I just can't imagine losing a child...they have endured a lot.
