Live-blogging Elizabeth Edwards at BlogHer07
Choice quotes from a choice lady:
On blogs:
"They need to fed like a child."
On how to handle trolls (a hot topic at BlogHer07):
(In her experience) "They don't go away if you ignore them. They need to be outed. Expose them and their writing elsewhere...they are cowards."
On Iraq:
"If mothers were in charge there would be no war."
"Take it personally when someone else's child is at risk."
On newspapers:
"Rupert Murdoch is not a gate-keeper of information...neutrality is important."
On reading blogs:
"I have 35 alerts in my Google Reader...too many..." She reads blogs, following links, "until she gets interrupted by a 7-year-old."
In response to a question on how bloggers can expose the US citizenry to dicussions about "real-issues" on blogs when MS, Yahoo!, etc. don't promote blog search tools on their sites:
"What is with Google not having blog search engine on their (main page). Why does it have to be a pull-down?"
On how many (Edwards campaign) people read her blog posts before she hits publish:
"Zero."

"Take it personally when someone else's child is at risk."
This is perfect.

Thanks for this wrap up. I had to scoot out early, so I missed her. I'm glad you posted this though and glad we got to meet! Until next time...

Wow, I'm really impressed! She knows her blog stuff. This is a VERY good sign for American politics (I think, I hope...).
Thanks for this report. Of course, I read this here only -- no mainstream media I've found so far is covering it.

I heart Elizabeth Edwards. Can she be President?
