This is for, Kristen. This is the theme song for the next four years. Or at least until my saketini buzz wears off. Who knew Jesus Jones could be so prescient? Who else cannot stop smiling?
A woman on the radio talks about revolution
when it's already passed her by
but Bob Dylan didn't have this to sing about you
you know it feels good to be alive
I was alive and I waited waited
I was alive and I waited for this
Right here, right now, there is no other place I want to be
Right here, right now, watching the
world wake up from history
YES WE CAN!!!

I gotta say, in terms of being inspirational, this doesn't even come close to the mark.
1) The production values are terrible.
2) It focuses on Clinton instead of the message. Obama's words were what inspired Will.i.am to write his song. Clinton's words are merely inserted (jarringly and badly, BTW) into a treacly pop song. That is a huge difference.
3) She is definitely not the orator that Obama is.
4) That song is terrible. Just awful. "They say she's a beautiful girl, she's a beautiful girl?"
5) Isn't KT Tunstall Scottish?
I think it's a sad attempt at "forced inspiration." I think it's cringe-inducing. But you can decide for yourself.

Why do I want him to do well today? The world is making me believe in him. He has inspired people beyond our shores and that counts a lot for me.
